Over the last few decades, the US Republican party as changed from a focus on being a legitimate balance to Democratic/Liberal economics to being a mouthpiece for theocratic Evangelical Christians. Demographics do not appear to be in its favor.

comment to the Republicans: you brought this on by allowing yourselves
to be hijacked by the Evangelicals. Don't let the door hit your rear
end on your way out into insignificance. Oh, please note that the article is from a conservative website.
