There must be a requirement for education in critical thinking before graduation from high school! |
Skepticism is accepting claims only based on enough evidence to support them. It is NOT "cynicism", which is a belief that people are generally selfish and dishonest.
Years ago, in his seminal book The Demon-Haunted World, Carl Sagan presented an excellent encapsulation of skepticism/critical thinking entitled, a The Fine Art of Baloney Detection.
