Free Will

Free Will:  do humans have it or is it just an illusion?  This link is a nice summary of present scientific thoughts on the subject:

My opinion is expressed here:

"Society will learn to live with determinism, as it has learned to live with death and the absence of God. And, as I always maintain, abandoning the idea of free will is actually good for society in several ways: it undermines religion, and it is a highly useful attitude when thinking about how to reform the criminal justice system."

I do enjoy the material from Dan Dennett, but, on this subject, I agree with Jerry. There is no evidence that anything in our reality is not determined, including human behavior. As with all other claims, the burden is on those making the claim.
