In this morning's edition of The Charlotte Observer was an editorial from its editorial board concerning how Republicans lied about a previous editorial of 10 days ago.
This got me thinking about the numerous times I have seen reports by "unbiased" sources comparing the statements of the leading political candidates for US president. Below is a representative sample of the universe of fact-checking:
Is Hillary dishonest?
The Republican Party Has Institutionalized Dishonesty
Why Democrats Have Popular Presidents and Republicans Don’t
How do the Fact Checkers measure up?
Can Fact Checking be Politically “Neutral,” When Facts Are Not Equally Distributed Across the Political Spectrum?
Who lies more frequently, Republicans or Democrats?
Politicians lie, some more than others.
Human knowledge has progressed exponentially since the dawn of modern science. It is no longer reasonable to accept claims without sufficient objective evidence. The harm from religion, alternatives to medicine, conservatism, and all other false beliefs will be exposed on this blog by reporting the findings of science. This blog will also reinforce what should be the basics of education: History, Civics, Financial Literacy, Media Literacy, and Critical/Science Based Thinking.
