It's Not "MIS"information, it's "DIS"information From Conservatives

"Misinformation is spreading on social media as some fight to stop what they call censorship. The Supreme Court is now grappling with how the First Amendment applies to the online world."

Misinformation: wrong information by mistake.
Disinformation: wrong information by design.

News Media Under Attack By Republicans

" - - - The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers & be capable of reading them."

~ Thomas Jefferson (link)

In the Founding Father's time, the only media were essentially newspapers and the above quote indicates the precious nature of media as it relates to government.  As all can clearly see presently, the Republicans routinely attack the press indiscriminately.  However, in recent years, this problem has expanded to include television, with Fox News and Sinclair Broadcast Group being two prominent offenders.  I hope you are at least as angry at this as I am.
