Click on the link below for an understanding of how rapidly the conversion to Green Energy is happening within regulated capitalism:
Human knowledge has progressed exponentially since the dawn of modern science. It is no longer reasonable to accept claims without sufficient objective evidence. The harm from religion, alternatives to medicine, conservatism, and all other false beliefs will be exposed on this blog by reporting the findings of science. This blog will also reinforce what should be the basics of education: History, Civics, Financial Literacy, Media Literacy, and Critical/Science Based Thinking.

Green Technology And Regulated Capitalism: An Optimistic Outlook
"Nuclear power contributes to nearly 20 percent of the electricity generated in America, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Enormous growth has occurred since the signing of the Inflation Reduction Act in 2022, which allocated more money towards climate, and green energy subsidies than any piece of legislation in American history. But a lot of work still remains. Jigar Shah is director of the Department of Energy Loan Programs Office, a role in which he oversees investing and scaling carbon free energy. Before this position, he was a clean tech investor. He joins WITHpod to discuss recent inflection points, the future of nuclear, the importance of remembering that 'big things' can be done and why he’s more hopeful now about the space more than ever."

Another Look At Nuclear Energy
"Nuclear power may not be as bad as you think. If we used Thorium instead of Uranium, we could greatly decrease dangerous radioactive by-products. There is enough Thorium in the world to meet all our energy needs for over 1000 years."
In the USA, there is an interesting situation regarding nuclear energy: the political Left more than the Right tends to reject it. Click on the link below for the pros and cons of an alternative source for nuclear energy:

A Little-Known Renewable Energy Resource
"Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion, or OTEC, takes advantage of the sun's heating of the ocean to produce clean energy. It's pretty cool."
A very interesting 15-min video. At least it has probabilities within a pantheon of other viable renewable energies.

"Planet Of The Humans": Controversy And Enlightenment
"Michael Moore presents Planet of the Humans, a documentary that dares to say what no one else will this Earth Day — that we are losing the battle to stop climate change on planet earth because we are following leaders who have taken us down the wrong road — selling out the green movement to wealthy interests and corporate America. This film is the wake-up call to the reality we are afraid to face: that in the midst of a human-caused extinction event, the environmental movement’s answer is to push for techno-fixes and band-aids. It's too little, too late."
Here is the video.
Below are some reviews of the movie. In my opinion, the subject of climate change/green energy is the most important issue facing humanity in the intermediate and long-term. While the video is alarmist in tone, I think some of it is necessary.

Comment: Sometimes science is overlooked by both right and left political ideologues when discussing the subject. How else can you understand why we are not aggressively promoting nuclear power?

Wind Turbines, Birds, And Statistics
"It's well known that birds often crash into buildings, powerlines, cars, even rocks and trees, and are often injured or killed. But many people call out wind turbines as an especial threat, with their enormous blades slicing through the sky. At a time when half the country is calling out for renewable energy to reduce carbon emissions, and the other half searches for arguments against it, the belief that wind turbines pose an unacceptable risk to birds is gaining traction among the general public. Today we're going to look at the facts and see what role wind power should best play in the future of birds."

Renewable Energy 101
Society must accept the reality of climate change due to fossil fuel use and its negative effect on health and the environment. We CAN do better.
What Is Renewable Energy and Why Is It So Important?

The Future Of Nuclear Energy
"Tightening regulations on carbon emissions makes
nuclear more attractive, but lowering the cost of construction is
critical to the future of zero-carbon nuclear power."
Contrary to some Far Left ideologues, nuclear energy CAN be part of the clean energy revolution.
Cheaper and cleaner nuclear plants could finally become reality—but not in the United States, where the technology was invented more than 50 years ago.

Solar Energy: Promising, With Challenges
"A provocative recent essay in Nature Energy
by two solar analysts, Varun Sivaram and Shayle Kann, argues that solar
still has some hard economic obstacles to overcome before it can become
a major energy source and provide (let's say) one-third of our power.
Overcoming these hurdles could mean the difference between solar
leveling off as a niche technology and solar taking over the world."

The State Of Humanity In Perspective
We tend to focus on what is wrong with the world instead of looking at the present in light of the past. This link shows several areas of living that are dramatically better than the past. However, not all is rosy: most of the areas addressed are still far removed from where we want to be, particularly regarding renewable energy.

Renewable Energy From A Scientific Perspective
Scientists look at the spectrum of effects from renewable energy. This is new to you if you have only been exposed to the fossil-fuel industry's perspective.
