Yes, I came across this term recently and I am definitely one of them. HT
A person who does not use faith to know things-especially in the religious sense
I would just leave it at before the hyphen. The question is, "Why would anyone accept ANY claim on faith (Belief without evidence)?"
Human knowledge has progressed exponentially since the dawn of modern science. It is no longer reasonable to accept claims without sufficient objective evidence. The harm from religion, alternatives to medicine, conservatism, and all other false beliefs will be exposed on this blog by reporting the findings of science. This blog will also reinforce what should be the basics of education: History, Civics, Financial Literacy, Media Literacy, and Critical/Science Based Thinking.

I'm a fan of Aron Ra. I'm tired of church, and all the depressing crap that goes with it. I've learned so much from Aron Ra's videos. I've recently adopted the apistevist symbol. But I'm having a hard time finding out what it symbolizes. I mean- I know it means not relying on faith, but what can be proven. But what does the triangle and three dots literally represent? jam3sjk@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteAronra is a clown Atheist vs Religious Accountability https://youtu.be/SLmRbAYscbs
ReplyDeleteGodless,That guy is a religious magical thinker. 'Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI like the term aa an explanation of how religion is used inapprorpriately,
ReplyDeletebut you cannot do away with using faith to know things.
Physics is based on faith - the asssumption that physical laws are universal and consistent. There is not way to prove that. You'd be trying to prove a negative -"There is no instance in the past or future in which our natural laws did not apply." In fact, certaion articulations of the Big Bang theory posit it a singularity that defies natural laws, so we may even have a case which disproves the negative
You need to better understand both science and faith. I recommend perusing this blog for an education in both. Get back to me if you continue to hold your same views.
