Village Atheism?

"This subset of nonbelievers is overly wowed by the low bar it requires to recognize the inadequacy of the God hypothesis. Meanwhile, in many ways, they preserve or encourage a bounty of beliefs that are just as oppressive and pernicious."

Ironically, I clearly see some bias, blindness and ignorance from the author of this article.  Frankly, anyone who uses the term "scientism", as well as criticizes the "Three Horsemen" of  "New Atheism" and Ayaan Hirsi Ali with a broad brush, has lost the argument with me, even if there are some valid points, as there are here.  What are those "valid points?"  Many atheists are narrowly focused on such and really are not critical, science-based thinkers globally, including the author of this article.
