"I can think of at least five items that should be in the
Bible that aren’t there: clear, unequivocal, easy-to-grasp prohibitions.
With these missing—and with the quantities of human misery that
ensued—it’s hard to take the Bible seriously as the best that could
emerge from the divine mind. How could God have left out these
commandments?"
