Human knowledge has progressed exponentially since the dawn of modern science. It is no longer reasonable to accept claims without sufficient objective evidence. The harm from religion, alternatives to medicine, conservatism, and all other false beliefs will be exposed on this blog by reporting the findings of science. This blog will also reinforce what should be the basics of education: History, Civics, Financial Literacy, Media Literacy, and Critical/Science Based Thinking.

Why Progressive Politics Is Better Than Conservative Politics
This article defines a conservative as a person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in relation to politics. It defines a progressive as a person advocating or implementing social reform or new, liberal ideas. I think most people would accept these definitions and would agree that they are pretty much polar opposites. However, since politics is not a "hard" science, it probably is not wise to accept all of the opinions from the extremes on either side. That said, one side on the political spectrum historically has demonstrated superiority of its ideas.

The History of Conservatism And Liberalism In the USA
As we close out one of the most divisive and negative elections in the history of the USA, I think it is important to take a deep breath and reflect on how the politics of the conservative and liberal forces have historically flip-floped within the two major parties. For example, in the early 1850's, the Democrats were the conservatives and the new, upstart Republicans were the liberals. From there, there has been a frequent and significant changing of ideology within both of these parties. Enjoy the education within the three links below:
Conservatism
Liberalism

My humble opinion is that neither ideology or party has all the answers. In fact, the extremes of both are very harmful, thus, I remain, as I have for several decades, a militant Independent. Think about it.

A Look At The Question Of Media Bias
Yes, yes and yes: the US media IS biased toward liberalism. Now, what does that mean and why? First of all, lets look at the two major US political parties: one (the Republican Party) is clearly more anti-science than the other. Reality is clearly best evaluated by science. Reality DOES have a liberal bias. Case made. Any challengers?

Liberals Need An Honest Challenge From Conservatives
"This is disturbing. Lord knows that I’m a Leftist—though perhaps not in the minds of Authoritarian Leftists—but we lose something if we’re not constantly challenged by those having different views."

Does Reality Have A Liberal Bias?
This is a link supporting the hypothesis that the historical progress of human
rights has come from activism from the left, or liberal, side of the
political spectrum:
