Christian Theology Does Not Support A Non-Material Soul

To hear conservative Christians, and even most liberal Christians, speak of the Soul or Spirit, one would assume that the Bible supports an immaterial quality to such. In fact, the Old Testament is clear that the Soul or Spirit is associated with the material "Breath." In addition, Jesus preached this same concept of the Soul. Click on the link below for a video on the matter, which, once again, debunks apologist William Lane Craig:

Exhibit A For Pretending To Be An Expert

One of the main flaws of religious apologists is rejecting the consensus of scientific experts in fields pertinent to the claims made by the apologists. While that's bad enough, some, like William Lane Craig, pretend that they actually know more about the subjects than the true experts!. Click on the link below for a video debunking such nonsense:

William Lane Craig DESTROYS Christian Apologetics

"When confronted with a lack of evidence for God, famous theologian William Lane Craig suggests that people should simply lower their epistemological bar in order to get the benefits of faith. He went full-on Pascal's wager! Everyone should use this clip when talking about William Lane Craig going forward."

I have been a critic of all religious apologists in general, and William Lane Craig in particular (link). Click on the link below for a video fully exposing how vapid Christian apologetics really is:

William Lane Craig Is Particularly Dishonest

Virtually all religious apologists are dishonest due to the fact that, when presented with factual information against their dogma, they refused to look at it with open minds. However, William Lane Craig, who I have made several debunking posts against, is a master at this obfuscation. Click on the link below for an expose of this character flaw of his:

William Lane Craig Is At Least Incorrigible

"Christian apologist William Lane Craig’s 'The Absurdity of Life Without God' contains the claim that atheists can’t be happy and philosophically consistent - that if an atheist is happy, it’s only because they’re living inconsistently with their own views, so atheism is truly unlivable. But what does the actual data say? Can atheists be happy without stealing from god? Here, I respond to WLC’s claim while discussing actual research on atheism and mental health/happiness."

A person who is incorrigible is unable to be corrected. A definition of insanity is doing the same thing repetitively and expect different results. A devious person will repeat falsehoods until he is caught. Once again, William Lane Craig continues his lucrative pattern (choose your label) in spite of repetitive correction. Click on the link below for an appropriate counter-apologetic.

The Absurdity Of Life Without God?

"William Lane Craig asks, 'Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going?' Modern man has tried to answer those questions without reference to God, but the answers that came back were not exhilarating, but dark and terrible.
"But do our wishes determine what is true? Do our fears determine what is true? Or is reality what is true?"

This is another example of William Lane Craig's poor understanding of the mind of the atheist regarding meaning and morality. Click on the link below for a rebuttal to his ignorance.

A Trifecta Of Counter-apologetics

The Atheist Alliance International (AAI) Insider Newsletter recently published three counter-Christian apologetics written by John Richards. They are succinct and spot-on in the areas they address, therefore, worthy of your time and attention. Click on the links below:

"We do use argument in science: to justify hypotheses, to make a case for carrying out an investigation and to design rigorous experiments. But that’s pretty much the end of the usefulness of argument. Once repeatedly observable evidence is in, we can stop arguing about it, at least until we discover some new evidence that casts doubt on our conclusions."

Argument is NOT Evidence?

"Every single attempted logical argument for the existence of the Abrahamic God, without exception, fails on at least one count."

Arguments for God Debunked

"The fact is, we now know how to make a ‘best explanation’. It consists of gathering repeatable, shareable, observations and formulating a theory that models phenomena. Go back and start again William Lane Craig."

Really, The Argument From Mathematics?

William Lane Craig continues to amaze me with his vapid apologetics.  One of his latest "God of the Gaps" arguments is seen in this debate entitled, "Does Math Point To God? It is quite easy to debunk this rather novel apologetic, as one can see in this article, "The Argument from Mathematics Doesn't Add Up to God."

Why Is William Lane Craig Respected?

One of the more prominent Christian apologists is William Lane Craig (WLC). I have posted two other times on this blog (link)(link) exposing his poor thinking and debunking his statements. I recently have been in discussion with some of his supporters and want to present a few more links that pretty much should end the discussion regarding his worth to one interested in the truth.

Extraordinary Claims DO Require Extraordinary Evidence

If I were to tell you that there is a Nissan Altima in my garage, would you question it? If I told you that there is an invisible, fire-spewing dragon in my garage, would you question it?
- - - - - - -

It is always interesting when I run across an apologist who attempts to refute the commonly-accepted phrase, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." The latest I have seen is this one from noted Christian apologist/philosopher William Lane Craig:
  • Highly improbable events do not require extraordinary evidence in order to believe in them.
  • We would be prevented in believing in many ordinary but highly improbable events.
  • The lottery pick that hits the jackpot is one example.
Craig is conflating improbable events (unlikely to occur but we know they do occur) with extraordinary events (beyond what is usual, ordinary, regular, or established). ALL claims for the supernatural, let alone Christianity, are certainly extraordinary and not just improbable.

The fact that Craig uses this apologetic in an attempt to dismiss the phrase is, to me, an example of the extraordinary obfuscation of Christian apologetics.

This link provides the truth about the phrase.

Suffering And Evil

Even the most dogmatic (deluded) Christian apologists will concede the atheist claim that the Problem of Evil is the greatest evidence against an omnipotent, omnibenevolent, and omniscient God. The 20-minute video below is an excellent presentation and counter-apologetic on the issue.
