Human knowledge has progressed exponentially since the dawn of modern science. It is no longer reasonable to accept claims without sufficient objective evidence. The harm from religion, alternatives to medicine, conservatism, and all other false beliefs will be exposed on this blog by reporting the findings of science. This blog will also reinforce what should be the basics of education: History, Civics, Financial Literacy, Media Literacy, and Critical/Science Based Thinking.

Negative Ion Therapy
I participated in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas last week and, among the vendors, was a company selling negative ion bracelets. Research does suggests a positive effect from high (4.5x1014 ions/second) flow rate negative air ionization generators, however, such products are considered experimental only. A note:, much smaller air generators found commercially have no effect. Regarding the bracelets, they are clearly a typical alternative to medicine rip-off.
