The Case FOR And AGAINST Fine Tuning

"Arguments for fine-tuning: Physics has many constants like the charge of the electron, the gravitational constant, Planck’s constant. If any of their values were different, our universe, as we know it, would not be the same, and life would probably not exist."

A Clear And Unbiased Look At The Argument From Fine-Tuning

"In this video, I explain how the argument that the universe is fine-tuned for life works, why it's wrong, how the mistake happens, and what that means for the existence of god and the multiverse."

Fine Tuning Of The Universe Is Probably A Brain Flaw

"You could argue that if God is not in the constants, then he must be in the laws of quantum mechanics and general relativity. After all, if the universe follows fundamental laws, there must be a lawgiver. But the problem with this argument is that you are replacing something like the laws of physics that may be eternal, with something else that is eternal but more complicated - God."

A Science-Based Look At "Fine-Tuning"

"What is fine-tuning in cosmology? Here’s the claim: cosmic conditions that allow complex structures — galaxies, stars, planets, people — depend on a few “constants of nature” lying within tight ranges of values. But is fine-tuning valid?"

Atheists are frequently challenged by religious apologists regarding the "fine-tuning" of the universe we live in as evidence of a God. At the 14:00 mark in this video, physicist Fred Adams explains the parameters of what is involved with "fine-tuning" and talks about how our universe could have been MORE finely tuned for MORE life within it. In fact, he claims that given enough time we could design a better universe. Perhaps God can enroll in some classes.

Neil deGrasse Tyson Shows He Can Think Unscientifically

The link below is evidence that even the best of scientific minds can fail to always use it. It's curious that Neil deGrasse Tyson fails to see that this statement is as scientifically wanting as a religious apologist using the Fine Tuning argument for the existence of God.  Why?  Because science deals in probabilities.  The probability ("very likely") stated in both cases, without knowing the "out of" (the denominator), cannot be determined.

Neil deGrasse Tyson says it’s ‘very likely’ the universe is a simulation

3 Sentences Refuting The "Big 3" Christian Apologetics

1)  The Cosmological Argument:  There has to be a "First Cause" and it has to be all-powerful, all-knowing and all-loving (the "Omni-God").

Rebutting The "Fine Tuning" Argument For A God

"This is the best argument that the theists have when it comes to cosmology. That’s because it plays by the rules. You have phenomena, you have parameters of particle physics and cosmology, and then you have two different models, theism and naturalism, and you want to compare which model is the best fit for the data. I applaud that general approach. Given that, it is still a terrible argument. It is not at all convincing."

I was channel-surfing this afternoon and came across a Catholic physicist/priest (Fr. Spitzer) on the Catholic network EWTN. Interestingly, he used statements from Sean Carroll to support his assertion that Fine Tuning/Low Entropy points to theism. I just had to rebut such apologetics.
